Monthly Utility Cost Estimator
Enter your monthly electricity, gas, water, internet, and other costs to get a monthly and annual total, with a low/base/high comparison.
Scenario comparison
How it works
Monthly total is electricity + gas + water + internet + other. Annual total is the monthly total × 12. Low and high scenarios apply ±15% to model typical seasonal variation (such as higher heating or cooling bills).
Worked example
$120 electricity + $40 gas + $35 water + $60 internet + $0 other = $255/month, or $3,060/year. A low season might run closer to $217/month, and a high season closer to $293/month.
Assumptions
- Figures are not location-specific unless you enter your own local rates and bills.
- The ±15% scenario range is a simple model, not a forecast based on your specific utility's rate history.

Frequently asked questions
Are these utility cost estimates specific to my location?
No — they're model-based estimates using the amounts you enter, not live local tariff data.
Why does the estimate show a low and high scenario?
Utility costs vary seasonally, so a ±15% range models that variation around your base estimate.
What should I include in "other" costs?
Any recurring cost you want tracked alongside utilities, like trash service or a heating-oil budget.
