Combined Household Cost Planner
Combine monthly utility costs, a projected car lease mileage overage, and a pet-sitting cost into one workflow, with a combined total.
How it works
Monthly utilities total is electricity + gas + water + internet + other. Lease mileage overage projects your odometer forward (current + monthly driving × remaining months), compares it to your total allowance, and multiplies any excess by your overage rate. Pet-sitting total is pets × visits × rate, plus any surcharge. The combined total adds all three — useful as a single reference figure, even though each section covers a different time period.
Worked example
$255/month in utilities, an 18-month lease projected to run 3,600 miles over its 36,000 mi allowance at $0.25/mi (a $900 projected overage), and 2 pets for 10 visits at $25/visit ($500): the combined total is $255 + $900 + $500 = $1,655.
Assumptions
- Each section is independent — figures are not shared between sections.
- The combined total is an additive convenience figure across different time periods, not a normalized monthly cost.
- All figures are user-entered or model-based estimates, not live local rates or guaranteed pricing.

Frequently asked questions
What does the combined cost planner include?
Monthly utilities, a projected car lease mileage overage, and a pet-sitting total — three independent estimates plus a combined total.
Do the three sections share the same time period?
No — utilities are monthly, lease overage is a one-time projected charge, and pet-sitting is a total for the visits entered. The combined total just adds them together.
Can I skip a section I don't need?
Yes — each section calculates independently, and the combined total only includes sections you've filled in.
